corralejo shopping

So you've done the sunbed, cooled off in the pool, indulged in a cocktail or two and it's only lunchtime! If you have the energy and you're looking for something to do before the next service of all inclusive then why not head off and explore some of the wonderful shopping opportunities around Corralejo. The main street has a generous offering of 'seaside' style outlets where you can pick up holiday essentials like the inflatable dolphin for the kids (or big kid!), sun cream, newspapers and trinkets mingled with some designer outlets like Mango and Benneton. But if your looking for something a little more unique then check out the side streets and the old town down by the marina for some quality local crafts and boutiques. Not forgetting that Corralejo is also a real town you will also find a number of reasonably priced supermarkets and shopping centers with some familiar 'high street' names.

One product that you will find in abundance and on sale in almost all the shops is Aloe Vera, the plant is grown and processed on the island and is renowned for its rejuvenating, healing and soothing properties. In particular its a popular and effective treatment for sunburn, it's possible to get it drink form as a health supplement however we have it on good authority that it's 'an acquired taste'

El Campanario Shopping Centre

Open daily from 10am to 10pm the El Campanario Shopping Center is situated just down from the Acua water park and has been built to resemble a traditional Spanish style village. Here you will find a huge and diverse range of shops, anything from sports goods, perfume, clothing, jewelry to mobile phones etc, etc. There are a number of coffee shops, eateries along with a supermarket and live musical events held in the central public square. Make a note in your diary for the Canarian Market each Sunday, this a showcase for local crafts and a perfect opportunity to pick up that perfect gift for that someone special back home. Whilst here and as long as you have a head for heights and don't mind a few steps make your way to the top of the clock Tower where the views of Corralejo and over to Lobos are simply breathtaking.
